His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Srila Prabhupada

✨ Who is Srila Prabhupada?
Founder-Acharya of ISKCON, a pure devotee and messenger of Lord Chaitanya, who spread Krishna consciousness worldwide.
🎉 Year of Appearance: 1896 in Kolkata, India.
🚢 Mission to the West: In 1965, at age 69, he sailed to the USA on the cargo ship Jaladuta, carrying only books and unshakable faith.
🌍 Establishment of ISKCON: Founded ISKCON in 1966 in New York City, which blossomed into the worldwide Hare Krishna Movement.
📚 Books and Teachings: Authored and translated over 80 volumes of Vedic literature, including Bhagavad-gītā As It Is.
🕉️ Global Impact: Established over 100 temples, farms, and schools, tirelessly traveling and preaching.
🌸 Disappearance: Entered samādhi on 14th November 1977 in Vrindavan, India.

Fact

When Krishna Himself came as Lord Chaitanya, He stated:
“yadi pāpi chadi dharma dure dese yāya mora senāpati-bhakta yāibe tathāya”.

Translation: "If Sinful people escape and giving up religious principles go to far off countries, then my Senapati Bhakta will come at that time to give them Krsna consciousness.

Srila Prabhupada is that Senapati-bhakta — the commander devotee foretold by Lord Chaitanya, who spread Krishna consciousness all over the world.

About FOLK
FOLK is a youth empowerment initiative inspired by Srila Prabhupada’s vision and carried forward by the devotees of ISKCON Bangalore. It was founded in 1997 under the guidance of Sri Madhu Pandit Dasa and other senior spiritual leaders to help young minds rediscover the purpose of life and live with clarity, joy, and spiritual strength.

Through a vibrant mix of interactive learning, devotional practices, and cultural activities, FOLK empowers youth to lead balanced, value-based, and spiritually enriched lives.
